Huge Aliner Skylights

We have been expanding our selection of Skylight domes (especially on the larger end of the spectrum). Aliner Skylights tend to match that description, as shown here:

Aliner Skylights

Aliner Skylights

There are a number of skylight domes in stock that are suitable for Aliner Skylights or any RV. A handy table of the dome sizes is available here.  Most Aliner skylights are different from other RV skylights in that they are glued right onto the roof with no screws. They are also often much larger, going the full width of the ceiling. Here is a replacement we have that matches many Aliner “A-Frame Campers”: http://www.icondirect.com/rv-skylight-sl1864/.

That can also be used on other units as well (as long as the dome size matches). If you ever are needing a dome for your Aliner Skylights (or other RVs) and you can’t find an existing model (remember to measure correctly), we do have a custom skylight dome program.

      Hi!

The replacement Skylight is priced at $298.00 retail. The people over at Aliner.com would be the ones to ask about the A frame camper though! They sure do have a neat/compact design.

You can purchase our replacement parts nationwide at RV Dealers. They may not have this type of part stocked however. They would be able to order it in for you. Alternatively, you can use the website as well!

I have an Aliner and the skylights have become foggy. What product can you recommend to make them clearer.

      Hi Marion,

We do not manufacture the originally installed skylights, so I cannot be certain on the material they use and how best to clean it.

For Polycarbonate materials, theres some plastic buffing options at automotive stores, but success will depend on the quality of the materials and the extent of the ‘foggyness’.

We do have replacement domes for Aliners if restoring your current one doesn’t pan out. Let me know if you have any questions.

I had foggy skylights in my Aliner caused by keeping a towel on them under a cover for the winter in an attempt to keep them from getting scratched. Bad idea. I looked in the Aliner owners manual. It recommended Novus brand of cleaner for polycarbonate plastics. It comes in 3 levels of polish- 1 thru 3. I used # 1 and #2 with a rotary buffer and some elbow grease, and it worked reasonably well. The product was available at the Container Store and was only @ $5.00. per bottle.

I have two 12″ x 12″ approximately vented sky windows in my aliner expedition. They need to be replaced. Can I buy them from you and what would the price be?

      Hi Roland,

We don’t supply any vented skylights – all of ours are solid mounted and sealed. It’s quite likely they are 14×14 size actually as that is a very common standard. You should be able to find that size of replacement at your local RV dealer.

      Hi Manny,

We don’t supply any ‘opening’ skylights – all of ours are solid mounted and sealed. The vent style opening ones are very comon. You should be able to find that size of replacement at your local RV dealer.

I had a similar problem quite a while back. I called “Fantastic” the fan manufacturer. They sent me replacement parts free within 48 hours. Fantastic is sure the right name for them.

      Hi Don!

We do not include the epoxy/glue. We have a Butyl sealant available that can be used with mechanical fasteners (screws), but it’s our understanding that the Aliner skylights are installed with a different method. From some discussions with Aliner owners & dealers, I believe you may want to look at an epoxy called “Extreme Adhesive 531”. Sorry I can’t be direct help, but the Aliner installations are a bit different than a standard skylight installation we see more commonly.
